Jules Sherman is a product designer based in Carpinteria, California.
Jules is currently employed full-time with Olde Thompson, a kitchen accessories
manufacturer / wholesaler.
"I define myself as an expert in fashion-driven products.
I develop brands through careful consideration of the company's
image and their customer's aspirations. Products don't live
in a vacuum. There is a context, a lifestyle association,
an emotion that gives meaning to an object."
Jules Sherman studied Industrial Design
at Rhode Island School of Design. In 1993 she was selected
to study at Les Ateliers
E.N.S.C.I. in Paris. The following year, Jules earned her
BFA and received the Alexander Graham Bell award for design
and invention, presented by the Industrial Design department.
For the last ten years, Jules has worked
in the fields of interior design, jewelry design and product
design. Jules Sherman Design offers design and development
services to the retail and wholesale industries, including
individual proprietors, agents and manufacturers overseas.
She also collaborates with in-house design departments on
new concepts and line extensions. In addition, Jules lectures
regularly to art students at Parsons in New York.
